Studio Culture

  • ARRIVE EARLY & MINDFULLY: Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start time of class. This allows you the time needed to take off your shoes, store your belongings, and get settled with your mat and props before class begins. Please mindful of noise in the check in area if there is a class in savasana.

  • NO CELL PHONES IN CLASS: We appreciate our quiet, cell phone free yoga space and we think you will too. Please leave your phones outside the practice room in the check in area.

  • SHARE SPACE: Sharing is caring! Please share our space and make room for other students as they enter class.

  • SELF-ADVOCATE: Please notify the instructor before class of any injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy or other concerns and we can offer advice and modifications.

  • SAUCHA: A clean body, wearing clothes that support your comfort and movement during practice, and free of strong perfumes or scents, is appreciated by all! A clean mat eliminates germy downward dogs—please clean our borrowed mats after every class and hang them to dry.

  • CONSENT BASED ASSISTS: We love giving gentle, hands-on assists and we love respecting your space. Use a flip chip to let us know!

  • LISTEN TO YOUR BODY: Go at your own pace and honor your body. In all of our classes, the instructor is offering invitations, not commands. Please do not push yourself beyond your limits and take breaks as needed. Do your best to focus on your own practice and not your neighbors. Yoga is an inner science.

  • SAVASANA: Please stay and enjoy your savasana. It is an essential part of your practice. If you absolutely must leave early, inform your teacher before class and practice at the back of the room so you can be mindful of others and quietly leave.

  • TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOURSELF: If you enjoy a cup of water or tea at the studio, please clean and replace the mug.

  • COMMUNITY: Embrace the community with wide open arms, and love & care for our sacred space as much as we do!
