JAKE VOJCEK
Heated Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow
Some many years ago, Jake began his yoga practice largely as a physical activity to offset time spent cramming for exams. Quickly, Jake found the greater mental and spiritual benefits that the practice offers, slowly solidifying this practice as an integral part of everyday life. After moving to Brooklyn in 2020, he completed his 200-hour YTT - which was rooted in the Tibetan buddhist path - at Kalā Yoga in Brooklyn, NY, where he credits this community and group of teachers for helping to deepen his yoga practice, more holistically implementing the teachings in all aspects of his life. Now, Jake has pursued teaching as a means to share the countless benefits that he has experienced, with practitioners of all levels.
After taking class with Jake, students will leave feeling challenged, accomplished, and (hopefully!) at peace in their own mind and body. Students will explore expectations of their own practices through playful and athletic sequences, while also deepening their mind/body connection, ending class in a state of full relaxation. Off the mat, he stays engaged in the community through full-time work at a gender and abortion advocacy nonprofit. You can likely also find him cooking, chasing the sun, visiting museums, and exploring his passions for style and design.
